I think at this point if people would like to do something like this, they just need to show interest to the Autocrats. Also any input on how to improve this idea to make it work better for our game would be welcomed.

A quick THANK YOU to everyone that participated! It was truly awesome to see happen and a wonder to behold.

I hope that this can become an idea for others to use in future events around the Empire.

How/Do you think we could make it better for next year?

I think that it can be improved in most small ways, but lots of small = big.

First, banners - Any banner that a persons entourage could bring with them. Household, kingdom, crusader etc. This is a huge part of the visual appeal to this type of thing. Visual representation would also include shields, or anything for that matter that may have heraldry or other things painted or put onto them.

Second, Preparation - Personal heralds need to know by either memory or on notes their individuals accomplishments and be ready to add any 'flare' to their performance that they feel necessary. Once the herald has completed his part, the individual themselves should have an idea of a few things. 1 - if they are going to elaborate any further at all. 2 - If they choose to elaborate, more than likely it is going to be semi-adlibbed. Have an idea though of what you would like to say.


These are just a few thoughts that i have at this moment in time. I will attempt to elaborate more in a future post when time allows.
